We need Co-op shoppers in Alston and elsewhere to nominate our foodbank as their charity for the 1p in every pound that the Co-op will pass on to a charity of customer’s choice. This is quite separate to your dividend which will go to you.
The changeover happens every year around 22 October. So if you want to help our local foodbank, go on the Co-op website and either register as a member or, if you have an account, sign in, then under ‘choose a local cause’ choose us (Alston Moor Food Bank). Your money will make a big difference to the people of Alston Moor. We will receive it next autumn.
The Coop has raised £117 million for charities since 2016.
